Cat’s Name: Teniata
Loyalty: Jellicles
Age: Young Adult (18-24)
Family: Unknown/can't remember (open to anyone who wants her as family)
Appearance: Teniata is of a rather average height, though she is quite slim which often makes her appear to be slightly smaller than she actually is upon first glance. She has long straight and think headfur that is often worn to one side. Her fur is primarily a dark brown with hatching of black and black spots along her forearms and legs. Teniata has softer features, with eyes that look larger than they are due to their pale yellow colour. Her eyes are the lightest thing about the queen.
Human Appearance
Personality:
Introverted:
- Teniata is on the introverted side of the spectrum, often blending into the background when she's in a larger group setting, preferring to watch and observe when she feels that she has little to contribute to the conversation rather than speaking uselessly. Also being around a larger number of carts tends to drain Teniata of her social energy, which leaves the queen rather withdrawn and listless if in she has to participate in a group setting. The dark coloured queen is much better at dealing with smaller and less chaotic gatherings, preferring to interact with fewer at a time.
Graceful:
- Her movements are often described as graceful, flowing and rather quiet. This lends itself to Teniata's tendency to disappear and reappear in group settings without anyone taking much notice. However this grave only really extends to things that she is used to, such as navigating the Junkyard or the allies in the city. But put her into something that's out of the ordinary, like a fight? Say goodbye to pretty much all of that grace.
Witty:
- In smaller groups Teniata's wit comes out to play, and is usually quick on the uptake with a comment. She has a rather sharp tongue, especially when confronted mostly because this is really her only defence. However sometimes her comments are said without thinking and can be taken the wrong way or out of context and her intent at teasing can be taken as a barb instead.
Self Depreciating:
- Teniata is rather self depreciating, viewing herself as rather non consequential and unimportant in the grand scheme of things. This is best showcased in some of her humour, which often pokes fun of herself.
Understanding:
- Despite her wit and humour occasionally being taken the wrong way, Teniata is rather understanding and sympathetic. While she may not always be the most eloquent at verbalizing her sympathy Teniata is understanding and supportive of those she holds close. She realized that setimes words don't help and that simply being there for another can help, often taking on the strong silent supporter or simply a quieter safe harbour for those who are upset or tired, especially when the constant commotion in the Yard doesn't help to make things better.
Quiet:
- This is among the most noticeable of her traits. And it extends to her speech and most of her behaviours as well. Teniata is an overall quiet and rather unassuming queen especially upon first meeting her. Being loud in any capacity does not come natural to her and required quite a bit of effort and concentration.
History: Teniata was born to alley cats that lived nearby to a school and shortly after being born one of the school children found her after she had wandered a little too far from her parents and decided to keep the kitten. So she was brought home with the young boy, who's parents relented in letting him keep her since he'd already taken her so far from her family. From being so young when she was separated, Teniata only vaguely remembers her family, the memories are indistinct but still there. While with her human owners, Teniata was tolerated by the boy's parents since she offered the boy a semblance of companionship for the only child and also managed to usually calm the rambunctious boy down (he didn't want to hurt her after all). However when the boy was at school the parents barely paid her any attention, just enough to make sure she didn't die and that she was fed.
As Teniata grew up with her human boy, whom she eventually learned was named Ian, Teniata began to take the time he was at school to explore the area around the human house. Occasionally even befriending other cats with humans who lived close to her humans. Each time she went out Teniata would go a little further, but always remember to return to Ian. As time and Teniata's experience continued she stumbled upon the junkyard and was amazed at the tribe there. After a while it became route to stop by, often watching the commotion of the tribe from a safe distance since after all she was technically an intruder and voyeur. But despite that she was intrigued by the tribe she had stumbled upon.
Time passed and Ian left for school, leaving Teniata with humans who while they had become attached to her had also become used to her disappearing for periods of time. It'd been a little while since she'd discovered the junkyard tribe and in an oddly times stroke of luck Teniata had managed upon the leader of the Jellicles and asked to join the tribe as she silently thanked her lucky stars that she'd stumbled upon the old tom alone rather than in a large group of cats.
Desired Pairings: Completely Open
Roleplaying Sample: Teniata padded lightly down the dimly lit streets of London, moving essentially silently as she made her way to the familiar neighbourhood. She had overheard her humans speaking of Ian returning for the weekend and the dark brown queen was excited. It's been weeks since she'd seen the boy who had plucked her from the schoolyard all those years ago. Finally her pale eyes fell upon the house she called one of her homes (the Junkyard Teniata also considered home). Instead of the front the dark queen made her way to the rear of the building. Lithely she jumped and climbed up to Ian's window, having seen the light on to indicate he was there and pawed at the glass and meowed to attract his attention. Meowing appreciatively as Ian opened the window smiling and she nuzzled her head against his in affection.
How often can you be on?: a couple times a week
Password: rice pudding and mutton
Comments: Teniata is attracted to both toms and queens, and she's rather romantic when the mood strikes.
