After leaving Purrgatori, Admetus had ventured back into Hench cat territory. He was pretty charming, and he did consider Alonzo to be a mutual friend, but he knew it was entirely possible the "friendship" was one-sided. Still, he wanted to come up with a decent plan, one where it didn't require him to enter the junkyard. He had that restriction, and he knew Alonzo rarely left the yard. Ah, how he loved challenges.
Hopping up on a nearby pipe, he straddled it. Laying down on his stomach, his chin nestled on his paws, he rolled his eyes upward in deep thought.
((I suck at starting threads. Any hench wanna bug him?))

Uhura crept back into the warehouse, glancing subtly behind her every so often. It did not appear that Munkustrap had followed her. She hoped it wasn't just that he was excellent at sneaking around unseen. She did not exactly know which Jellicles knew what about Macavity's territory, but the boss would have her neck if any vital information got discovered because of her. After listening and watching for a few moments with no sign of anyone coming, she relaxed slightly and allowed herself a sigh of relief. Perhaps now she could have a bit of time to herself, with no sister running around getting into trouble... The thought of her sister reminded her of the insane claim Oracle had made - of the Jellicle called Tucker being their brother. Could it be true? She shook her head and crawled into a pipe, trying to rest and just forget about all that had happened. Her eyes were just about to close when she spotted slight movement overhead. Startled, she jumped up, banging her head on the inside of the pipe. Rubbing her head, she peered out to see who was on top of the pipe. She sighed in relief when she saw it was Admetus. She had wanted to be alone, but at the moment she was just glad it wasn't Munkustrap or another Jellicle. "Sorry," she said, hoping he hadn't noticed her crazy stunt inside the pipe. "Wasn't aware this spot was already taken."

Admetus was for once, enjoying some much needed alone time, his head basically in the clouds. He didn't like to be alone very often but he didn't need any distractions while he tried to think of a way to get in some fun, catching up, time with Alonzo. A noise from underneath alerted him first, before he smelt and saw the cat in his vision. He gave a lazy smile, and his head tilted in a coy way. Seeing Uhura now in his line of vision, his coy look turned into one of cockiness. "That's alright, pet. Think I need a distraction." Scooting enough, he left the queen enough room to join him if she wished, but kept it casual enough that she didn't have to. With his tail curling, he gave her a once over. "I always lose my train of thought in such beauty. So then, pet. What are you up to, sneaking in the way you are?"
((I'm really tired, and can't seem to focus well. So I apologize if my post is short and makes little sense.))

Uhura's fur bristled slightly, from a mix of annoyance and nervousness. Annoyance, because she disliked Adme's way of automatically flirting with whoever was in the nearest vicinity; and nervousness, at his question. Had she really looked like she was sneaking? But she had done nothing wrong, she reminded herself. Certainly that situation in the 'yard had been risky, but it had all ended all right. And she would not let this tom get under her skin: he might annoy her, but at least she knew he was unlikely to start a fight with her. She did, however, decline to hop up onto the pipe beside him. Instead, she took possession of a nearby easy-chair, though didn't let herself relax to the point of letting her guard down. "Sneaking," she echoed, trying to keep her tone neutral. "Well, that was not exactly my intention. However, I was being careful, as I suspected I might have been followed. Thankfully it appears I was wrong."

Admetus stared at her with rapt attention, mainly to get his own mind off of his own problems. However, he did like Uhura and he did like to pay attention when he was with others. He did give her a cocky head tilt as he listened to her echo his word of sneaking. He hadn't really meant it literally, but now that she had brought attention to it, he couldn't help but to think she was up to something suspicious. Even if she were, he wouldn't have cared. Kept things interesting. He did raise his eyebrows, mimicking surprise. "Followed, luv? Sounds like you have an interestin' story to tell."

Uhura gave a resigned sigh. Of course, she should've known someone like Admetus wouldn't be satisfied with just a vague reference to the 'adventure' she'd just had. He'd want to know every single disgusting detail. And why not give it to him? None of it had been her fault. If this did get back to the boss and he got angry, Oracle would get in trouble, not her. Not that she wanted anything to happen to her sister, but Oracle was good at coming up with excuses - much better than Uhura, at any rate - and she'd find a way out if it came to that. "Not that interesting," she shrugged. Maybe it was interesting...she didn't really know. It wasn't often she felt secure enough to just sit and talk like this, so she didn't know what was considered an interesting story. "Just had to rescue an idiot from a problematic situation. Wandered into Jellicle territory looking for something or someone...story wasn't clear... Nearly got caught, but we got away. It's all fine now." What had Oracle been looking for? Could she actually have been telling the truth about Tucker?

Admetus nodded along with her story, then shrugged near the end of it. "Doubt them lot would have done anything, even if they did 'catch' ya. They have more of the reputation to embrace their enemy. Or some namby-pamby rooha. 'Sall rubbish if ya ask me. But I'm not paid to think in this tribe, so.." Admetus shrugged again. His eyes were away, off looking at the warehouse, but he did sigh. "Noticed ya were a bit vague with yer details, pet. Any particular reason?" Rolling his shoulders back, and letting his head tilt backwards until he was staring at the sky, he added as an afterthought. "'M jus' curious." He was also tired. Not to mention, bored. And company was the best cure for that.

Uhura narrowed her eyes slightly and watched Admetus, trying to read him. He did seem just idly curious, and it would fit in to what little else she knew about him. But he also was involved with the Jellicles in some way...Uhura didn't know exactly what it was, if he was supposed to be a spy there or what, but she had gathered that something was going on there. That made her inclined to wonder if he could be trusted by the Henches in general. But then, surely Macavity knew all about him and would have done something about it if that were the case. Still... Skat. Figuring out people's motives was way too complicated; it was easier just to shut them out. "My reasons are my own," she said finally. "Suffice it to say, the whole situation - while not serious - is an all around embarrassment and I prefer not to dwell on it."
((sorry if anything doesn't make sense... I have zero muse for Uhura right now >_<))

((Oh I know what you mean. My muse for Admetus has been rather lacking the past couple of days as well.))
Admetus couldn't help but to quirk his lips into a cocky little smirk. It had almost sounded as though Uhura was giving him some sass. It was interesting. He folded his arms behind his head, relaxing. "Hey, doesn't matter to me, princess. I rarely keep secrets from big red, but I don't judge others for leaving 'em in the dark. Do what ya want's words ta live by. For some anyway." His eyes did turn and glance at her from the corner of his eyes, but the rest of his body, physically didn't move. Aside from the rise and fall of his breathing that is. "I'm just bored. Saw you entering the area and thought. Finally I can get rid of the silence." But at the last moment he added,"And the fact that your not bad on the eyes helped."

So, now Admetus assumed that because she wasn't giving him all the details of her story, she was planning to keep it from Macavity as well? How arrogant. Of course, she reflected, she didn't plan to be the one to bring it up; but if the boss asked, of course she would explain. "There's no secret, all right?" she growled, growing exasperated. "Just forget it, and don't presume to think you know what I tell and don't tell our leader." Her ears flattened at his next words. She didn't want compliments from him, or anyone, they were just a way for toms to manipulate others into getting what they want. And Admetus was the worst about doing this, as far as she'd seen. "Are you capable of going anywhere without making everyone hate you?"

He shrugged. Whatever you say, princess." At her last condescending question, Admetus couldn't help but to curl his lips into a smirk and counter with. "Are you?" He then proceeded to add after his inconsiderate jab. "Sure am, princess. It's always fifty-fifty though. Love...or Hate. 'Sall the same to me." Whether it was battling verbally, fist fighting, or getting to know each other between the sheets, he always got what he needed from either of those options. Satisfaction and enjoyment. Stretching his paws out in front of him, he proclaimed. "It's not presumption, but a known fact. Everyone has their secrets.

Uhura curled her lip in disdain. "Yes, they do," she responded to his last statement, staring at him pointedly. She was thinking again of his involvement with the Jellicles. It must be quite the serious secret, for it not to be common knowledge among the Henches. Or...who knew, maybe she was the only one in the dark. "I don't need to be liked," she added, going back to the earlier thought. "It doesn't affect my ability to follow orders, and emotional attachments cause trouble." She snorted. "Just look at the Jellicles - they're so busy being a lovey-dovey 'family,' they can't even concentrate on protecting their borders."

Admetus watched her pointed look with great interest. Before a smile spread out across his face in vast amusement. "Oh pet. Are you accusing me of something? Is there some secret I'm hiding that your dying to know? Go on, ask. I'll tell ya anything. Open book, Tha's me." His smile faltered though at her next statement, but he chose not to reply to it. Club hopping and relations on top of relations taught him that some cats were determined to be disliked or miserable. Admetus could only think of it as some weird lifestyle choice, but it really had nothing to do with him personally. So if that was how she felt, then he knew it wasn't a personal attack on him. Probably an attack on males in general, or everyone. His expression turned into one of thoughtfulness. "My, my Uhura." He spoke her name, something he rarely did to others of either tribe, or strays on the streets. "We actually agree on something." His eyes glanced up, searching for the first signs of hellfire reigning down on the earth. The beginnings of Armageddon, he liked to imagine.(In his spare time)

Uhura was silent for a moment, somewhat stunned by his response to her pointed comment about "everyone having their secrets." Could it be he was actually willing to explain just what his situation was in regard to the Jellicles? She was half inclined to question him further about it, then decided against it. If he was that careless about it, could it really be that important? Probably everyone knew what was going on, and she had just not paid enough attention. She had no desire to be seen as unobservant, or idly curious. Her claws dug into the chair she was sitting on, her frustration with this whole conversation showing. Admetus was infuriating. He never responded how one expected, and so made it nigh impossible for her to maintain any sort of tough or stony exterior. "And just what is it we agree on?" she asked finally, unable to conceal the low growl in her throat.

Admetus was still staring at the sky when he heard Uhura's tone, and the small growl in the back of her throat to accompany it. He almost chuckled, but thought against it. Didn't stop him from smirking widely. "Though' it'd be obvious, innit?" He felt it wasn't any of his concern if she hadn't figured it out. Tilting his head, his smirk turned into a genuine look. Though with her suspicious nature, he knew she wouldn't buy it, no matter what his expression or his posture. "I agree with emotional attachments causing problems, and your views on the "lovey-dovey" Jellicles." The tom had air quoted lovey-dovey, with much amusement.
