Favorite Music Beyond Cats

I used to only listen to showtunes, and that's still the majority of my iTunes library. But I have a few favorites, let's see now...

Sleeping at Last is just amazing. Saturn is my favorite (it's not instrumental, the singing starts at 2:25). Incredibly gorgeous. He also did a cover of Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, which was my introduction to him.

I also like Tegan and Sara... How Come You Don't Want Me Now is probably my favorite from their current album, though I love I'm Not Your Hero as well. As for older albums - The Con is my absolute favorite Tegan and Sara song, one of my favorite songs overall.

Marina and the Diamonds is great, too! Oh No! is a really good one. Obsessions is my favorite song of all time. Radioactive is a close second. Power and Control is a good one. Ooooooh, and Teen Idle. All of her songs are a little heartbreaking, but also... bubblegum pop-y. I love it. She's my favorite artist.

And I like Florence + the Machine, especially when I'm writing. A few of my favorites - Never Let Me Go, Seven Devils, Howl, Kiss With A Fist, Drumming Song, and Cosmic Love.

Then I have a lot of random favorites that don't have much to do with the artist themselves. Every Morning by Sugar Ray (don't judge me ). Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper, and Eva Cassidy's cover as well (if you'll pardon the fanvid - I can't find a lyric video or anything). Classic. All Will Be Well by Gabe Dixon Band. Wildflowers by Tom Petty. Another classic - Dream A Little Dream Of Me, Mama Cass. Uptown Girl and For The Longest Time by Billy Joel. I sing Faith by George Michael to my boyfriend pretty much every day, so that's always fun. April Come She Will by Simon & Garfunkel is a sweet one.

And I have to admit, I do listen to a bit of One Direction... Blame my younger cousin, she's obsessed and she made me listen to them until I got hooked! It's darn catchy. But like I said, most of what I listen to is showtunes. And discussing my favorite musicals, well, that could easily fill up a five-paragraphy essay. So I'll refrain.
