Pounce had a horrible feeling about Munk not taking him or even Alonzo. It felt like a horrible idea and incredibly dangerous, these thoughts he dwelled on as he watched the three leave. He blinked though Alonzo turned to him and even more as Alyssa. "No. What pollicle?!" he asked surprised, shocked he hadn't even known there was one close or whatever. He felt kinda foolish he had no clue and yet this newish Queen knew.

Alyssa nodded eagerly, pleased that she had heard the news before Pounce. "There was a huge dogfight by the gates!" she exclaimed. She only knew about it because she was a champion eavesdropper...but she decided not to mention that.
"It's all right, though," Alonzo said quickly, annoyed with Alyssa for treating the situation so lightly and getting Pouncival worked up. "We fought him off and everyone's okay, only a few small injuries, which Jenny has tended to. So, if you two will be all right for now, I'll be off to watch the perimeter. Pouncival, please inform me immediately if you notice anything out of place." He turned to go, then almost collided with Mungojerrie.
Having spotted Alonzo near the old car, Jerrie had headed that direction, glancing behind him to see if Cassandra was still following. He jumped back as he and Alonzo almost ran each other over. "Sorry, 'Lonz'," he said sheepishly. "Me'n' Cass, er...have somethin' to report." He looked at Cassandra, figuring she would like to tell about the entrance since she had first found it.

the lovely brown queen stepped from the shadows and stood next to Mungojerrie her face serene as a porcelain mask. "good evening Pouncival, Alyssa is it? and..... Alonzo." she said in a polite velvety voice. "you see when we found out about the Policlle attack Jerrie thought that we should check the perimeter of the Yard for everyone's safety," she continued giving Jerrie the barest admiring glance as she did so, "and while we talked it occurred to us that I had never told anyone about the entrance to the Yard that I use, it is always dry and shielded from the weather and prying eyes." Cassandra looked at Alonzo with a cautious polite expression her tail flipping ever so slightly. "would you like us to show you?" she asked.

[Enter Bomba] Perhaps it was the slight ruckus that woke her or maybe the scarlet queen had been awake the whole time. It wasn't clear. Either way and at any part of the day, Bomba was always sure to make some semblance of a grand entrance even if it looked effortless. Crimson and ginger fur emerged from the den site and very tenderly, the queen took a few steps outside and glanced around.
She'd heard the mumblings about pollicles and figured it best to stay inside either way. Blinking as her soft green eyes adjusted to the scene, she tipped her head to the side. Mungojerrie, Cassandra, Pouncival, Alonzo, and Alyssa were there and, always a naturally curious queen, she decided with a tail flick to pad forward.
She never had an issue with interactions, even with cats she knew very little of. And with a cordial nod of her head, the scarlet queen greeted the group. "Glad to see the lot of you assembled so graciously this fine day. They say one or two is a fuss for the third, but a nice group is always a welcome interaction." A light chuckle escaped her. Her laughter was the type that came from deep in the diaphram--a wholesome laugh that showed her genuine interest and excitement to talk to cats she didn't know much about. Social interaction in general was something that Bomba seemed to thrive upon.
Seeing a younger, but nonetheless particular tom, a smile took shape upon her crimson lips and she murmured, "And it's always a pleasure to see you, Pouncey." Turning her attention to the whole of the group, she asked, "I heard word of pollicles and secret entrances? Anyone care to enlighten me?" Her tone wasn't prying for information--besides, a queen that never patrolled or fought any battles didn't need any information like this for reasons other than her general curiosity. Bomba just liked knowing things and being included in things to be honest.

Fear hit Pounce in the pit of his stomach at the thought of a disgusting Pollicle being so close to the Yard. So close to the only place he has known as home and the only family he has ever known. Even though the threat was gone, the fact there had been just two unguarded Henches in the yard made him so uneasy, so much that he was completely thrown off guard when Bomba approached him. He cursed the childish blush that filled his cheeks, she made him at Tom at the Ball, so he should be acting like one and not like some little kitten with a crush. He cleared his throat slightly and tried to come up with the best cock off the walk, Tugger like smirk he could muster even though the fear of before still existed deep below. "Same goes for you, Bomba."

Alyssa's eyes lit up with delight as even more cats arrived. She was slightly disappointed that Mungo and Cass already knew about the Pollicle attack, but hearing Bomba question it, she turned eagerly to the red queen, excited to share her knowledge. "There was a pollicle attack but everyone's fine and now er..." She glanced at Mungojerrie and Cassandra, trying to remember their names. "Cassie and... Momo... Have found a secret entrance, and..." She stopped to catch her breath. If she'd thought there was any real danger in any of this, she'd have at least tried to be more worried, but it all just seemed like a good fun adventure to her. After all, the dog was gone, and if no one knew about the secret entrance, how could the bad-guys have been using it?
Alonzo's head spun as first Mungojerrie and Cassandra, then Bombalurina, arrived, and he was bombarded with new information. And then, before he could recover sufficiently to respond, Alyssa went off on a crazy ramble that would be certain to bring about panic if she were allowed to continue. True, the cats here were for the most part level-headed, but what if she were to continue talking like this in front of the young kittens? Taking the opportunity of her catching her breath, at the same time making a mental note to never ever tell her any bad news in the future, he laid a restraining paw on the queen's arm. "Please, calm down," he said, trying to keep the annoyance from his voice. He turned to Bomba. "Hello, Bombalurina. Yes, there was a Pollicle attack, but apart from a few injuries which are now being tended to, we're all fine, and the dog is gone." His shoulder ached, and he probably should have put a poultice on it or something, but he ignored it. "And yes, now it does seem that Cassandra and Mungojerrie have discovered something else." He looked over at them inquiringly.
Mungo gave a slight bow to Bombalurina as she joined the group, then nodded at Alonzo. "Aye," he said, "an' we wos mainly concerned because if'n word got round to the 'enches, they c'ld take advantage o' the entrance. We c'n take ya to see it if y'like..." He glanced uncertainly at Cassandra. Now with so many cats here, would they all try to come along? Somehow he didn't think that was a good idea; might cause more worry and panic.

the sleek brown queen dipped her head politely,"good evening Bombalurina and it is hardly a secret." Cassandra's lovely face took on it's Mona Lisa serenity, "I would truly not wish it thought that I was keeping secrets from the Tribe, as I was explaining to Alyssa, Pouncival and Alonzo that it was a way that I found that is convenient to my home and Jerrrie suggested that we should tell the protectors." Cassandra said with a slight purr, and when she glanced at Mungojerrie for a fleeting instant there was a gleam of admiration the slipped past her serene mask but it was so fleeting that it could have been imagined as her long brown tail brushed Jerries ever so lightly.

With a more or less bell-like laugh in the sense of it's wholeness as well as its appealing sound, Bomba shook her head lightly at the young tom's antics. Giving Pouncival a very light nudge and placing a friendly paw on his arm, she told him, "Now, love, if I right wanted to see a face like Tugger's, I'd go see him in person." Taking a hold of his chin, she lightly shook his head and assured him, "I enjoy seeing your bright face just the way it is, Pouncey. No need for the extra straining." But just as quickly as she'd averted her attention and affections onto the younger tom, Bomba had turned back to the group and removed her paw from his face to get down to the knitty-gritty.
Truly Alyssa's energy, Alonzo's annoyance, Mungo's generally friendly aura, and Cassandra's familiar self allowed the queen to feel more or less calm in addressing the situation. She felt at home with her fellow queen friends, Alonzo and Jerrie had been around and served as acquaintances for a good while, and Pounce and Alyssa, or just the adolescents in general brightened Bombie's day. So nodding as Alonzo and Jerrie spoke, she gave Alyssa a warm look, as if to tell her not to mind Alonzo's initial annoyance. Her look was one that was genuine--like the gaze of a favorite aunt or a mother. She felt a protectiveness over the younger generation--especially the young queens. And though she knew Alonzo pretty well, she also knew that the last thing she'd want to see was the young Alyssa feeling disheartened because of Alonzo being a bit annoyed and stressed.
As Alonzo finished speaking, Bomba's ears perked up. "Well, by Everlastings name, I'm glad to hear everyone's alright and the dog is gone . . . however, if I can add anything, I'd say you should take care of yourself now that things are a bit more settled." She suggested, taking a few steps towards the harlequin tom. "Where has Munkustrap gone?" the scarlet queen asked, letting her paw rest on Alonzo's shoulder. "This new entrance sounds intriguing, but it'll be here once everyones rested up and not so frazzled around the edges. If the henchcats haven't' discovered it by now, another hour or so can't hurt. My main concern right now would be to make sure everyone's settled after the ordeal. Especially you, Alonzo." Though she didn't say it, another concern of hers was to address her curiosity at Cassandra's actions. Her all around image at the moment seemed slightly off from her normal self. Not that it was bad, but as a woman who took the time to truly get to know her tribe mates, Bomba was a bit confused. Maybe it was the subtle tail swishing to just the fact that Bomba was no stranger to the art of flirting. But blinking slowly, she collectively set her gaze over the group before turning back to Alonzo once more.

Pounce froze the moment Bomba spoke those word as she took hold of him and his face went as scarlet as her coat. Part of him just wanted to scatter off to the nearest junkpile to bury himself in out of sheer embarrassment of her seeing right through his plan and blowing it completely out of the water. Yet she had just said that in not so many words that she liked Pounce as himself which he had never been told by anyone before and he wanted to just attempt backflips across the Yard just at that. But a simple, shy, kitten with a crush nod was all he could muster and he cursed himself for it.

Alyssa chuckled softly, watching Bomba and Pouncival. How adorable. A little kit like Pounce had no chance with a queen like Bombalurina, Aly thought, but it was still fun to watch. However, she turned her attention back to the more exciting conversation concerning the welfare of the 'yard. It sure sounded like lots of scary stuff had happened lately! But Alonzo and Munkustrap would take care of everything; that's what protectors did. Though Aly wouldn't mind taking part in some sort of epic battle if it came to that with Macavity and his minions...
Alonzo's ears felt warm as Bomba put her paw on his shoulder. He hoped he wasn't blushing. At the same time, his first impulse was to move away from her paw - not so much because of his sore shoulder as because of his own unspoken rule to keep a distance between himself and queens. Get close to a queen, and they were bound to get hurt - that had been his experience anyway, and it was just as true in the junkyard as in the warehouse. As long as Macavity was at large, he would target the 'yard's protectors and anyone near them. Alonzo wouldn't let that happen.
"It's all right," he told Bomba, taking a subtle step back to get his shoulder out from under her paw without seeming rude. "We're all more or less recovered, if a little shaken." He began to mention that Victoria had been the worst injured, but thought that wouldn't be the best idea in front of Pounce and Alyssa. "Munkustrap is escorting two...well, suspicious queens, out of the area," he added. "He will be back soon." Bombalurina's question about Munkustrap reminded Alonzo of his original task to keep an eye on things and start out after him if he didn't return soon.
Jerrie could sense that Alonzo was somewhat torn between duties: stay here and supervise the younger cats, go investigate the secret entrance, or look out for Munkustrap? "Per'aps," he suggested, "Cassandra, yew c'ld show 'Lonzo where the entrance is, at the same time keepin' an eye out fer any strange activity and fer Munk's return. Miss Bomba, or I, or both of us, c'ld stay over 'ere an' keep an eye on things." He figured Alyssa and Pounce wouldn't appreciate the idea of his suggesting they needed supervision. "If none of us 'as seen Munk by the time yew return, some'un'll start out to look fer 'im. 'Ow's that?" He looked around at the cats to see what they thought; he wasn't accustomed to 'taking charge' or coming up with the ideas.

at Mungojerrie's suggestion the lovely brown queen hid her disappointment behind her serene mask. Alonozo was certainly not the tom that she would have wished to be with however she could see the practicality of the tiger tom's reasoning. she just hoped to Bast that she had not been to forward earlier. she dipped her head politely even as her long tail stilled it's movements, "of course Jerrie that is a fine suggestion." she said in a soft warm voice before turning to Alonzo, "do you have any objections....Alonzo?" she asked. (EXIT Cassandra leading the way stage left)
