Jennyanydots moved past the central area of the junkyard over towards the front gates. She didn't get too close, keeping her distance. Jenny had been hoping to run into one of the protectors of the yard, but came up empty. Frowning, she walked closer to the gates, cursing her luck that she'd arrive during their shift change. As a healer, she was momentarily concerned about how long the front gates were unguarded during the shift change, and wondered if that was how Macavity had broken into the last ball. Shuffling her feet, she began to inspect the different flora growing in the patches of grass, to pass the time. They weren't in a desperate need of new plants and herbs, but it gave her something to do. Besides, if there were any good specimens, she figured it'd be better to pick the plants now, before they wilt and die. Her eyebrow raised up when she heard the soft footfalls behind her. "Good afternoon." She spoke without turning around, and before the jellicle could try to sneak up on her. Pouncival was usually the safe bet to try and catch her off guard.

Clinton hesitated a few feet from the entrance when he saw Jennyanydots. She looked like she was focusing on something, and he didn't want to interrupt. Maybe he could slide past on his way out of the gate. And he could say hello to her later, when he got back from town. There was a shopkeeper in town that he visited often, a dowdy older lady who ran a crafting shop. He felt as though she began to worry if he waited too long between visits. He proceeded toward the gate more quietly.
But of course, nobody could just sneak around when Jennyanydots was near. He gave a quiet chuckle and walked over to the queen when he was discovered. "Hey, Jenny," he said with all the familiarity of a lifelong friend. "Y'alright?"

Jenny smiled brightly at the sound of a familiar voice. At least it wasn't Tumble or Pounce trying to sneak up on her or prank her again. It was amusing, but she was not their mother, and hating scolding them as if she were. With a green leafy plant held gently between her fingers, she turned and greeted the younger tom properly. "Clinton. It's good to see you again." She gave him a patient stare, but wasn't going to tell him she had been scoping out the protectors. To anyone that'd probably sound creepy, especially since she didn't have a good reason to seek out and chat with any of the protectors; unless you count 'to just chat' as a good enough reason. "I'm quite alright. Work never ends I'm afraid. And how about you?" She was friendly enough with the tom, but currently she wasn't comfortable enough calling him some endearment or by a nickname. Not yet.

Clinton returned her bright smile with a wide, relaxed one. "I'm good, s'good," he said with an absent nod. He still didn't know Jenny too well - granted, he didn't speak with her much, but he usually had a good grasp on other cats' souls after a few conversations. Jenny was an anomaly, calm and motherly in the Infirmary yet sensual and feisty out. Well, as sensual as someone her age could be, he guessed. "Just heading out to the town, I've got some buddies out there."
He eyed the plant in her hand. Nothing he recognized. Though to be honest, if it wasn't catnip, he would be hopeless to identify it. "You working or something? Need help with anything?"

((If only she was a tad older, then she'd be a cougar! *rawr*))
She gave him a smirk, and the endearment just automatically slipped from her mouth. "Aw honey. Seeing your friends in town's got to be more entertaining then helping me out. Although I appreciate the offer." She rolled the plant between her fingers, as she concentrated on Clinton. Normally, she wasn't too assertive with cats she barely knew, so wasn't sure if she should add any more, or let the tom continue on his way. Finally she relaxed as she leaned back against the gate post, her tail curling slightly at the tip. "Clinton, you've been visiting the junkyard off and on for how long now? Yet a lot of us barely know a thing about you. How come?"

((Haha, yes! So close.))
"Ah, well." He gave a crooked smile and pushed his twisted headfur behind his shoulder. "I couldn't walk out on a queen in need, now, could I?" He gazed out of the gate in contemplation. The shopkeepers could worry if he didn't stop by for a treat. But how often would he get the chance to chat with a queen like Jennyanydots? He leaned against the opposite post, his arms crossed loosely over his chest.
"Well, I... focus more on getting to know your Tribe, I guess." He chewed on the inside of his lip and shrugged. "Y'know, that's why I'm here and all."

((Is it sad that I'm now picturing drawing Cougar!Jenny seducing all the hot young toms into her bed. Ouu Jenny in bed with Pouncival and Jelly or Munk or someone walking in on them. hehe. I blame this on you.))
Jenny wasn't sure if that was a come-on, a compliment, or simple observation. She chose to take it as a compliment and gave Clinton a gratifying smile. At least she didn't perceive anything false with Clinton. Granted she didn't know him well enough to make a judgement on his integrity. She still found the small times they have chatted a refreshing change. "Well if you insist on staying, perhaps we could find an activity we both could enjoy." Picking fresh and dying plants was probably not high on anyone's list of a fun time. She hadn't intended her statement to come off as a pass either, just a way to get to know the tom better. Though she did admit to herself, that he wasn't bad looking. With sensual movements, she tucked some of her mane behind her ear and out of her face. Pursing her lips, she nodded in agreement. "I can't speak for the others, but I know I wouldn't mind getting to know you the same way you're getting to know this tribe. That is, if you're interested."

((Oh my GOSH yes, I fully accept the blame. Cougar!Jenny is everything I never knew I wanted.))
The easy smile on Clinton's face melted into a devilish smirk, and he prayed to all the gods he'd ever known that he wasn't misinterpreting the queen. Her less-than-chaste way of handling her mane only worked to strengthen his suspicions, and he rubbed his paw along his jaw with a chuckle. "I guess that would depend on what you had in mind, Ms. Jenny. Though I'd be perfectly happy to pick plants with you."

Jenny would be lying if she said the devilish smirk on Clinton's face didn't affect her. It sent shivers running down her spine. Perhaps she had been reading the other tom wrong. A tiny voice was warning not to jump into flirtations or anything more before knowing the tom better. Yet, after he last boyfriend, she felt Clinton was ten times better then that pothead. "How about we save the plant picking on a different day, and today you can pick what pleasurable activity we'll get up to." The white and orange tabby moved slightly closer, though kept enough distance in case she was about to make a fool of herself and was reading him wrong after all. But she was a queen that if she was going to go in, she was all in. Lowering her voice slightly, she spoke,"Surprise me."

Clinton pushed himself off the gate post and took a step forward to stand up straighter. The smirk was still in place, but his eyes had softened sensually, and he couldn't help the swagger in his stance. "The thing is, Jenny..." He stepped closer, so that he was a foot away from the queen. "...I don't know that my sort of pleasurable activity..." He continued walking, forcing her to walk backwards to avoid toppling over. "...is the sort of thing respectable queens like you would be interested in." By the time he'd finished talking, Jenny had her back to the gate post again, and his paw rested above her head. "You know?"

Jenny saw a look in Clinton's eyes that she had seen before, and the thrill she got from it, startled her. Enough that she began to back up the closer Clinton got. Until she felt her back pressed against the gatepost. Effectively trapped, and also turned on by the thought that Clinton had trapped her. Ironically, none of her previous lovers had acted this way towards her. "Oh I'm respectable now, am I?" She shook her head, a smile still on her face as she leaned in, their bodies touching just the slightest bit. "You know Clinton, you don't know me that well. Why don't you give me a try, I might surprise you by what I'm capable of." Her voice was still low, though now there was more of a hint of sensuality in her tone. There was obvious double meaning to her statement as well, and she was sure Clinton would pick up on that subtlety.

Clinton chuckled from the back of his throat, deep and husky. "You are respectable." He pressed himself closer to her. "Responsible, honorable..." He brought his paw down, tangling his fingers in her mane. No holds barred now, there was no doubting the vibes flowing between the two of them. He had done his fair share of... flirting... in the town, but he held the Jellicles at arm's length as far as these relations were concerned. He preferred to be learning without exposing so much of himself. But Jennyanydots was just irresistible. "I think everybody could stand to be more like you."

Jenny bit her lip in a sensual way, as Clinton's paw came down and wound itself in her mane. Using the pink tip of her tongue, she slowly eased it out of her mouth as she licked at her body lip. "More should be irresistible girl scouts?" Her leg raised up, grazing against the outer edge of his leg, then curving around his hip and dragging his body to press tightly against her body. She took in a deep breath of his scent. "You're playing a dangerous game here, Clint. Are you sure this is what you really want to do this afternoon?" She purred as she tilted her head slightly, wondering how far he was willing to go. It this was just flirtation on his part, she wasn't going to complain. It was the most fun she'd had all day. However, she wouldn't mind if he was looking for something more. She just wanted to know. "So tell me what else you've got planned for the day. Or are you going to leave me in suspense?"

Clinton's hips reflexively pushed closer to Jenny when she drew her leg up and his breath hitched. "Girl scout?" His voice was low. "Afraid I'm not familiar with that term. I guess that's something else you could teach me," he suggested, his eyes fiery now, and his smirk spread across his face like silk. His gaze flicked down to her lips and he licked his own, suddenly aware of how dry his mouth was. He swallowed hard. "Well, you could go with me to meet my buddies... Or I could help you pick your plants. Or, uh." He chuckled, a soft growl emerging at the end. "We could go back to yours, for some... lessons."

from beyond the gate came a loud clanging and the roar of an engine as a truck pulled in it was met by a human who jabbered at the driver directing him to the part of the yard that was receiving loads. the driver fumbled for some paper and as he did the did the door came ajar and slammed open and a four footed furry torpedo knocked it open and exploded out bolting past the Yard worker and into the yard. snapping at the human it tore along bearing down on the trysting jellicles like a fur covered freight train menace in it eye.
