Pale eyes gazed upwards towards the sky as Teniata laid on her back upon the tire, staring up into the night sky as her foot absently bobbed along to a random tune in her mind. The humans in a house close to hers had decided to throw a rather rambunctious party; with what smelled like a lot of alcohol and a lot of almost adult humans. Those two things combined usually had her either hiding away in her human's room or away from the area entirely. Too often in her experience did the inebriated humans taken very high pitched and loud delight in finding her, cooing odd names at her as too many hands reached out to pet her. At times they would essentially kidnap her and try to give her an unsettling amount of attention. Not very fun to endure on her end.
So on nights that she could hear such parties before they got too loud or before they could see her, Teniata avoided the area entirely. So she had come to the Junkyard, grateful for what was at the moment a quieter atmosphere that didn't have her skin crawling uncomfortably at the amount of noise and commotion. The dark queen was at that point in time incredibly more grateful for having been accepted into the tribe, despite not actually knowing many cats here. It didn't bother her too much, large crowds were definitely not her forte.

having finished his conversation with the youngsters some hours earlier the old tom had curled up inside the tire to take a nap. he awoke and stretched, when he got up Gus seemed to rise out of the tire a spectral image tan fur hanging loose silvered by the moonlight eyes hidden by shadow. "hello," he said from behind Teniata.

Teniata was quite thankful that she didn't jump out of her fur when she heard the hello. Though that was probably only because it hadn't been overly loud and she felt rather safe within the junkyard, so really there was no reason for her to jump like she could have. The queen remained laying on her back and simply tilted her towards the voice - behind her - and smiled in greeting. "Hi. Lovely evening no?" she questioned pleasantly, still smiling.

Gus smiled, "yes indeed it is, Tenitia is it?" the old tom said. "ah the way the moon sweeps her stately dance across the heavens...it is one of the nice things about the Yard, the City lights don't drown out the stars." he said happily. "I take it that is what brought you here?"

Teniata nodded as she sat up and turned to face the old tom, though she could not quite recall the tom's name specifically the queen did recognize him and didn't want to appear rude since he actually knew her name. She did chuckle softly and shake her head, "Not quite. Some almost adult humans are throwing a party near my human's house. I'm merely avoiding the mass of drunken fascination that happens when they find something amusing or worth their attention. It's not a very pleasant experience." She rolled her eyes, although Teniata was aware that some cats mat disagree with her and revel in the amount of attention from others. "Though the stars are a nice bonus. What brought you here?"

the tom gave stretch that popped alarmingly and cocked his head to one side, "well I was talking with some of the Tribes youngsters this afternoon and inside the tire seemed a nice place to curl up a nap..." he looked about a bit resignedly, "I seem to have overslept a bit." he said with a shrug. "but yes unwanted attention can indeed be...unsettling".

Her eyes widened at the pops, not expecting them to be so loud without the tom wincing at their effect. However her expression quickly relaxed back as he spoke, apparently unaffected by and used to the popping. The side of her lips quirked up slightly, "Or underslept for morning." She quipped, comfortable enough for her wit to come out. Teniata nodded agreeing, quickly remembering then tossing those memories away of the times she had accidentally been noticed. "Yes, humans don't always quite get the message of 'no more' do they?"
