Jerrie shrugged. He hadn't seen his sister yet today, but he had no doubt she was fine - either still snoring the day away somewhere, or robbing another house. Though if that were the case, he'd hope she'd invite him along first. "She's fine. I fink she's prob'ly still sleepin' off that Argentine joint," he joked. He paused, and glanced somewhat nervously at Alonzo at the mention of Cassandra. Why had Victoria specifically asked Lonzo about her? Was something going on between the two? Something must've occurred at the Ball, Jerrie decided. He hadn't paid much attention to who was paired with who... Everything was such a blur. But that might explain Cass's odd behavior. Maybe her being offended had nothing to do with Jerrie, but rather with Alonzo.
Alonzo's fur prickled slightly, and he felt guilty all over again. Apparently everyone had noticed his behavior towards Cassandra at the Ball. He knew she'd forgiven him, and things were settled between them, but that didn't mean the others wouldn't be angry at him for a while... "She's well, last I saw her," he replied, trying to sound... well, neutral - not as if he didn't care, but not like the nervous wreck he felt, either. He decided not to mention their earlier conversation - that really was no one else's business, and once they figured out nothing was going on between Lonz and Cassandra, it'd blow over. He looked round at the others, hoping someone would change the subject.

Victoria instantly regretted her question. She could tell that she had hit a nerve with Alonzo, and without trying to hid her embarrassment, the white queen's ears flattened against her skull and she looked down sheepishly. She tried to offer Alonzo a smile, but it came off extremely forced.
"Oh, well, I'm glad. Glad that both of them are well...that is." For a well raised queen, Victoria should have known better than to ask such personal questions. Her uncle would have been disappointed with her. Further more, she was disappointed with herself. She wasn't quite sure how to recover from such a silly inquiry, but she didn't want to flee. Leaving would make matters worse, and would make her appear foolish. She wouldn't have that happen.
Glancing over at Munkustrap, Tori smiled again, though this time, not as enthusiastically. "I am happy your father is okay, too. It all happened so fast, it is a wonder he was returned unscathed. How are your wounds, by the way? Was Jenny able to patch them up, or are they still sore?" She looked over at Alonzo and Jerrie as well, knowing they had been apart of the fight also.

The tension was certainly palpable, and Munkustrap ground his teeth subtly as he considered his options. He could attempt to defuse it, distract them with some other topic that would better spread positivity and confidence among the tribe. Or he could step out, speak with Alonzo about the security issue, and let the post-Ball stress filter out on its own. "Not too bad, not too bad," he answered. Admittedly, he was only half listening. "A few scratches, a bump on the head. Just needed a little rest, really." He fought to keep the embarrassment out of his eyes. He never wanted to let anybody think he was weak, especially his own tribe members. He decided to step out of the conversation before anybody asked him to speak about his injuries further. He took a step back. "Excuse me, I'm sorry. Alonzo, did you need to talk to me?"

Alonzo nodded in agreement with Munkustrap, not wanting to dwell on the subject of wounds. "Jenny is quite the miracle-worker," he assured Victoria. And to his relief, that was all he had to say, as Munkustrap stepped aside for them to speak privately for a moment. "Yes, Munkus, I wanted to tell you that - well, as we started to mention earlier, Cassandra found a hidden entrance to the 'yard. The good news is, this could be how Macavity and the henches have been accessing our territory - it'd be nice to know Macavity's just an ordinary cat and not some mystical being ... But on the other paw, it's a weak spot. Is there any action you think we should take now?"
As Munkustrap and Alonzo stepped aside for the moment, Mungojerrie found himself speaking with Victoria alone. He was not the greatest at keeping up conversation, but he should at least try to be entertaining. "Well," he gave a somewhat embarrassed cough, "I didn't sustain too many wounds meself... couple scratches to th' face is all. Nothin' serious, can't 'ardly see 'em now."

Victoria's shoulders slumped as she watched Munkustrap and Alonzo step to the side. The white queen wondered if she had said something wrong. She wasn't sure; however, what she did know was that both the future leader and the sentinel had other matters to attend to. While she understood, it made her feel somewhat...discarded. She wasn't used to that. It reminded her of where she was - she was in a junkyard, not in her human's esteemed estate. She wasn't special here. She was just like everyone else.
Sighing, Tori turned to face Jerrie. At least he hadn't ignored her. She smiled up at him, taking note at just how tall he was in comparison to her. Reaching out, the white queen brushed her fingers gently across his cheek. Her green eyes squinted as she glanced over the scars, and while her hand lingered, she smiled again, this time far more genuine than the last.
" You're right, they are almost gone. Though I will admit, a scar or two on a tom is rather attractive, if you ask me." She giggled, not in the least bit bashful.
