He is a fighter and a charmer. He will stop at nothing to defend his tribe...or flirt with a queen. His ideal situation would be one in which he got to play the hero and rescue a "damsel in distress." Truth be told, however, in his heart of hearts he would rather find just one queen who he could be with always, protect and cherish. His flirtatiousness is an appearance he puts out - a wall, if you will, to keep from being hurt. He hero-worships Munkustrap, who seems to him to be the perfect gentletom and the perfect protector, all at once. His dream goal is to be like Munk, though he would never admit as much. His "charm" and "courage" can easily tend more towards "vanity" and "recklessness." He has trouble controlling his temper, and just his emotions in general. His past has made him extremely hard on himself and others. If anyone sets a single paw out of line, he's onto them in a heartbeat; and he beats his own self up over every little thing. He is afraid of being hurt again, so there's almost no one he'll let past all his "walls" to see his true self.
History:
Born to a litter of kittens by a queen whose owner didn't want anymore cats, Alonzo spent most of his kittenhood on the streets. Sometimes he would stay alone, other times he would come across another cat and they'd help each other out for a while. One day, he met another tom on the streets, who told him he'd be better off with a larger group - more protection, etc. - and he knew of a good one. He took Alonzo to Macavity's tribe, and Lonzo became a Hench for a while. He soon began to get the feeling, however, that the life of a Hench was not the life he'd want to live. He stayed, though, having nowhere else to go, and he took his part in a number of bloody deeds, for which to this day he still feels overwhelming shame and remorse. Worst of all, he fell in love with a queen who Macavity had captured. He came up with a plan to help her escape, but she was killed while trying to get away. That was the final straw. Alonzo left the Henches, wandering around for days, until he finally found his way to the Junkyard. Untrusting of anyone, Alonzo at first went back to his lonely life on the streets, only returning to the Yard occasionally. Gradually, however, he's gotten to know more of the Jellicles, and thinks of the Junkyard as his home. The guilt of the cats he has killed and of his inability to save the queen he loved, still haunts him. To compensate, he puts up walls between him and queens, and is fiercely protective of everyone so as not to be guilty of failing to save anyone again.
Desired Pairings: I'm a sucker for Alonzo/Bombalurina, but y'know, we'll see what happens. ^-^
Roleplaying Sample:
Alonzo would tear apart this entire city if he had to, but he would find the others. He would not let Munkustrap down – he would return his kits to him safe and sound – he would rescue Old Deuteronomy – he would see to it that Victoria was all right – he would find out what was wrong with Plato – but, most of all, he would kill Macavity. He would kill him, ridding the world of his evil filth and freeing Bombalurina from him once and for all.
Suddenly, he stopped and listened. Was that…? He strained his ears to reassure himself of the sound. It was… singing? Why was Bomba singing?
He smacked himself in the head. What did it matter, why? He knew, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that if he followed the sound, he would find Bomba – and, likely, the others, too. Once there, Macavity could not be far from the scene; he would kill Macavity first, and find the others afterwards.
