With all her history and her infamous banter sessions with Stubinz, and granted she did trust the older tom with so much, she never could quite believe him when he would claim that she was beautiful. To her it always seemed like he was joking about it, if only to start another jolly fight. But the words that Coricopat spoke and the endearing shy smile that accompanied it at her flushing. He amused smile that Stubby had gotten out of her, turned into a small smile that she was too embarrassed having. She kept trying to cover it up, but the corners of her mouth kept twitching into that darn smile. "...Thanks." Hearing it from Coricopat did have her believing him. "You better. I'm sure Tantomile or Jemima will inform me otherwise." Her face broke into soft confusion,"Speaking of which, where are your two sisters?" It was rare to see him without Tantomile, but not impossible. And Jenny could admit to a bit of curiosity.

the calico tom flicked his tail and winced,"when I left her she was feeling out of so after having a vision about the Policle attack, and wanted some time alone." Coricopat said.
then Stubinz chimed in with a flick of a ragged ear "tha last time Ah saw Miss Jemi she was Tumble an that re Grumbuskin."

Jennyanydots nodded her head silently at Coricopat's words. Of course the dark calico queen would have gotten a vision of the pollicle dog attack. She had always been concerned for Tantomile, and how exhausted or out of it she always seemed to feel after each vision. She knew she couldn't do much to help, except make her comfortable or help regulate a headache if she happened to have one. Jenny still told Coricopat what she probably had said multiple times before. "Well if she's still feeling bad the next time you see her, please direct her towards me." Her head raised up to stare at Stubinz. "Heavyside, with Grumbuskin?" She had nothing against the older tom, aside from the normal wondering's of his past misdeeds coming back to haunt him or coming back to put the tribe at risk.
In between patients she had a lot of time on her hands, and a lot to think about. And he was nice enough from what little she was exposed to him, but she wasn't sure if the sheltered Jemima should be spending time with him. Or any of the other kittens. "And Tumblebrutus. Well, between two strongly present males, I hope her nervousness isn't getting the better of her. Tumble'll take care of her." Though the last part was more for reassuring herself. As with most kittens that grew up without mothers in the tribe, she tended to look at them as her own, and Jemima was one of those kittens she had looked after. She never stepped on the toes of the twins and the way they raised their sister.

well Ah was gen tha impression that tha auld rouge was takin hi9m under his wing so's ta speak."Stubinz said while Coricopat looked less than pleased that his sweet sister was being exposed to that sort of element.then he nodded "will of course send her to you,"he said more calmly than he appeared, "and Jemima as well," he added dryly. "perhaps she will listen to you about the company she keeps."

Jenny blinked but then nodded her head,"Good for Tumble." She still wasn't sure how she felt with Tumble hanging out with the raggedy Grumbuskin, but if anyone could train Tumble, and train him well, it was Grumbuskin. Jenny finished wrapping Coricopat's tail, and tucked it gently under so that it would stay on. "She better listen to me." She spoke half serious and half joking. Sometimes she thought Coricopat didn't give himself enough credit. Jemima tended to listen to Coricopat more then anyone else. Well...aside from Old Deuteronomy. The black calico had a unique bond with the jellicle leader, but Jenny supposed they all did. She patted Coricopat's shoulder,"You're all set, dear."

the dark calico smiled at Jennyanydots, shifting his tail experimentally
"thank you Jenny," he said. "now is there anything that I can do or get you?"
he added lowering his eyes bashfully.
Stubinz busied himself putting the ingredients away, though mostly it was to hide the amused look on his face over the way that Coricopat was looking at Jenny.

Jenny grinned lazily at the gratitude, though it was highly unnecessary. Considering she was just doing her job. "Oh." Jenny was caught off guard, by Coricopat's question and the look on his face. She was about to ask if he'd stick around and help her with putting her supplies away, to keep him around longer. But it was selfish of her to ask him for help when that may simply hurt him and his injuries further. She gave Stubinz a sidelong stare, before allowing her attention to refocus on Coricopat. "Well hon. Do as I told you, and recover." And what more could she ask? "Oi, old bat. Better not be hoarding or snickering over there."

Stubinz gave Jenny a scowl that not reach his eyes, which twinkled merrily.
Ah twill have ye know that Ah only hard in me own digs thank ye very much!" he said.
then the mangled old tom cocked his head to one side, "speakin a which Ah do have ta be gettin back. do ya have anythin fer me ta pass on ta tha strays?" he asked.

Tumblebrutus hurried into the den, and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Jenny there. He only took time to briefly nod at Stub and Coricopat before turning to Jennyanydots. "Miss Jenny," he said, trying to keep his voice calm so she wouldn't worry unnecessarily, "would you be able to come and help? Jemima has fallen and hit her head."

Jenny moved out away from Coricopat and towards Stubinz, her hips swaying from side to side as she did so. "Well there are a few supplies I had set aside for-" Her reply and the location of where she had set aside the supplies for the strays went unanswered. The arrival of Tumblebrutus had caught her attention. She was about to ask where Grumbuskin and Jemima were when he asked for help. "Oh my." Jenny patted Stubinz on the shoulder and shooed him into the back room. "Grab some cloths, put some water in a jug, and grab some of the herbs to relieve pain." She turned on her heel and went immediately to Tumble, her paws on his shoulders. "Of course, I'll go immediately, can you tell me what happened honey? How bad did she injure herself?"

the calico tom snapped around at the news ignoring the effect that his movements had upon his tail, ears perked and eyes blazingly alert. "where is she Tumble?" Coricopat asked in a voice thick with emotion.
Stubinz's brows lowered, "easy Lad, you go with Miss Jenny Ah twill hold down tha fort!

Tumble looked back over at Coricopat. "She's with Exotica, Corico." He turned to Jennyanydots. "They're in Exotica's den." He knit his brow, trying to think how to answer Jenny's questions. "We... I was speaking with Exotica by the entrance to her den, and Jemima was right up behind her. She..." His voice cracked slightly, which it hadn't done in ages and he thought it was incapable of doing any more. All at once he felt like a guilty kitten who had to tell the grownups that he accidentally hurt his friend by playing too rough. He knew that if he tried to give Jenny the exact details of what had upset Jemima and probably made her step back and lose her balance, he'd do something ridiculous - like bury his face in the motherly queen's shoulder and burst into tears. They did not have time for that. "She stepped back slightly, and seems to have tripped or slipped on something. I don't know how badly she is hurt, because immediately Exotica bent down beside her and asked me to run and find you."

Jenny patted Tumble's paw to assure the tom. "It seems like an accident hon. Don't fret." She looked back at Coricopat with concerned eyes. She hurried to grab what supplies she'd need and then hurried to the front of the den. "We can talk on the way."

Coricopat nodded as he followed the calico tom racing out of the den.

Stubinz shook his head and sighed as he set to straightening up the den.
