Victoria nodded. A day. That seemed reasonable. She blushed as Quaxo answered her question. The queen looked into his eyes lovingly. Beautiful and graceful. That's what he saw her as. She beamed, butterflies fluttering in her stomach. At his reply, she thought about when she first started having feelings for me. "Well, remember when we were younger," She began. "We were playing inside Jenny's den. It was raining outside. Lighting flashed-" Victoria chuckled at the memory. "-and I was terrified. I was in a middle of practicing the splits, which I could barely do back then, and I shot up. I almost tore a tendon in my paws! I remember, you were there, I ran to you and held onto you out of fright." Victoria recalled that day fondly. She could feel her head buried in his coat, there arms around eachother creating a safe haven. Quaxorocked her back and forth slowly, murming in her ear. "You helped quench my fears. I've never been afraid of lightning since. And I fell in love with you because, I felt safe. Comfortable. I could rely on you more than anyone else. Also, you smelt like peppermint." She grinned. Never afraid of storms since. Victoria thought about the last Ball. "At the last ball, you shot lightning at me without burning a single hair on my coat."

Oh Quaxo remembered well, it was a memory that played in his mind when he was alone in his den at night. The warmth of her body in his arms and her scared whispers as it stormed outside. He wasn't sure if she had remember though after all these years even though he wondered but he never had the guts to even ask her. He smiled at her softly as she spoke of it fondly but it faded slowly as she mentioned the ball and his magic. "Yes I did protect you then but....tonight is just proof how dangerous my magic is." he very carefully wrapped his arms around her, attempting to hold her close to him. The actions of tonight did nothing to calm his fear of his own magic.
